The ultimate Fictional Analyst Programmer (Ballblog 7)

Has to be the Doctor, from Dr Who...Watch have been showing eccleston and tennant series' from the start about 4pm each weekday, so between php scripting,  me and the swarm have been catching up on what we missed..
(no guilt, i have been chosing to spend the time i have been saving on getting ready for work and commuting watching DRwho instead!).

and I have today concluded, in a thought which came to me doing a Sudoku lying on my bed whilst training baby Dylan to be put down awake and go to sleep in his cot....that the Doctor (Dr who?) is the ultimate analyst/programmer....lets open the discussion with my thoughts on why:
  • Always analyses the situation and experiments
  • Always brings to bear prior specific knowledge
  • Generally keeps calm in the face of adversity or resistance to change
  • Is prepared to alter his hypothesis in light of firm contrary evidence
  • Utilises available technology to develop solutions.
  • Works along a firm set of morale boundaries in order to develop the most robust solution in any given situation.
  • (never leaves behind any documentation)
He should join the Institute of Analyst Programmers! I've applied, and their check is in the post!

Next time on irregular blogs -
Working from home with 4 kids
setting up windows 7 to take 2 internet connections
Buying a new laptop - amazing value from ebuyer.com!
