Blimey what a year!
Managed to hold down a full time job and keep delivering!
Managed to finish my dissertation and got Distinction.
Managed to catch every cough cold stomach bug going, and pull a major muscle in my neck whilst sleeping (and no, I had not been moshing or head banging for weeks before the incident)
Managed to celebrate my Dissertation by staying out till 6 am, dancing in a dirty techno basement.
Managed to not get in trouble with my wife for staying out till 6am!
Learning to moderate my behavior as appropriate for the commercial sector... although i shall be sad when my team moves out of its little quiet corner and we have to tone down the lewd.
Managed to have a damn good BBQ in September, and fix some leaking rooves on my "out-buildings"
Looking forward to my Graduation ceremony!
Did manage to get the band back together, and play some gigs...more of that next year
Did manage to lay on some pretty good Allstars bashes
Did manage to get my ankle better enough to start exercising again after 6 months of pain / inactivity
Fails:
Didn't finish sorting our extension :(
Didn't get Dad anything for his birthday :(
Didn't lose weight overall
SO 2013!
Spending as much time as I can with Wife and kids!
Exercise & fitness,
Gigging (limiting to one a month i hope), and
Sorting house out!
Keep moving Foward!

Misc Musk MSC
Time is running out! With some help from friends we have finally finished the decorating and flooring of our little extension, at the expense of the garden! Need to spend the Jubilee weekend mowing, weeding and trimming it back, and sort out the leaking roof of my shed so that we can shove a load of our kit in there!
Soon, we shall re-emerge from 18 months of social chrysalis as beautiful social butterflies with the eventual return of infamous Ball BBQ's... where the meat flows like wine and the cheese is grated and gyrated!
Soon we shall have a house to be proud of, and have a chance to show it off.... the only problem being, i need to spend all my free time this summer finishing off my MSC Dissertation based on a software project i stopped working on about a year ago.
The guide says 20,000 words... and i have done nearly 15,000 already, but I am not sure how much of that I can use directly in the project. All of it can go in the Appendix at the very least.
I have a very shiney Gannt chart thanks to Team Gannt, and I am enjoying ticking off the stages of each chapter of my MasterWork.
Considering Buying that Dragon Voice Recog Software to help me chunter my way through the workload.
Student License at £83 is a lot of money, but if it saves me more than 4 hours work, its probably worth it..

2012 - THE WORLD IS NIGH!
squeeeeeel!
If it isn't 2012 already? Where did last year go? Mine flew by. I spent it debating, deciding and then preparing for my Voluntary re-dunce-ity from DMU. Baby No 4 arrived, i had 3 months off to enjoy seeing him turn from a pink yowling blob with worrying dietary issues into a beautiful bouncing baby boy....Wrote and read the eulogy of my last remaining grandparents funeral, managed a difficult home renovation lasting 6 weeks, did some consultancy projects and got an excellent job, did some smashing musical projects including an all time high Steal this band gig at Halloween and started my first ever period of enjoyable non sporting related exercise.
Life is good.
Thursday is the 16Th anniversary of getting together with my now wife of 11 years, and mother of my 4 children, and i think its safe to say (without tempting fate) that we have never been happier!
I hope to start blogging a bit more again, and put a more detailed blog out about the PROCESS, changing jobs and my minimal success as a small business man..including the support of some friends and difficulties of starting a business when you are the product, and working from home with 4 kids including a brand new baby..
In the mean time, Welcome 2012 & hug it to your chest! an interestig year of Mayan calendars and London Olympics. After last years ups and downs, and surviving it, I feel ready to takle this year head on, face covered in Wode, Loin-cloth flapping in the breeze, and my bronze long-sword held high above my head as a careen headlong across the moors yelling my battle cry, with my tribe behind me!
